The Consumers Energy Helping Neighbors Program may be available to help your family save energy and money while also improving the comfort of your home. Serving income-eligible households at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) or 80% Area Median Income (AMI), the Helping Neighbors design uses a portfolio of initiatives to provide a depth of services for single-family customers.
Home Energy Analysis
A trained analyst will spend 90 minutes identifying ways
you can save energy and provide free energy saving
items*
These upgrades may include:
- Programmable thermostat
- LED bulbs and nightlights
- Kitchen and bathroom faucet aerators
- High efficiency showerheads
- Water heater pipe wrap
- Customized report

- Single family detached homes, attached homes (up
to four plex), condominiums and mobile homes - Homeowners or renters
- No past participation
- Active Consumers account
