Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to contribute their expertise during an exciting time of transition and rebirth. We are looking for a leader who will share that excitement and find reward in playing a pivotal role in this meaningful and important process. The chosen candidate will be responsible for directing financial analysis, planning, and strategy and for obtaining positive financial results organization-wide. The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, collaborative, approachable, energetic, and engaged. They will possess excellent communication skills and will be able to go beyond providing just data to help others see the "big picture" and fully understand complex financial concepts. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related subject is required. Advanced degree and/or CPA are preferred. The qualified applicant will have five to eight years of related managerial experience or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience in the financial industry. Senior Financial Restoration Specialist (Collections)

We are seeking a Senior Financial Restoration Specialist to contribute their expertise during an exciting time of transition and rebirth. We have a new CEO, a new direction, and a renewed sense of excitement for the future. We are looking for an experienced team player who will share that excitement and find reward in playing a pivotal role in this meaningful and important process. The chosen candidate will be responsible for working with other Financial Restoration staff in order to achieve departmental goals, reduction in overall delinquencies, and obtaining recoveries on charged-off loans. They will contact members with delinquent accounts and effectively resolve delinquencies. They will maintain an advanced level of knowledge of local fraud scams and act as the Fraud Officer for the Credit Union. They will maintain an advanced level of knowledge of pursuing members through legal avenues and act as a legal expert to the department. These are only some of many responsibilities of this position. High school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of collection work experience, and a valid driver's license required. Experience working as a loan officer and experience working with fraud is preferred.


This is a full-time, hourly, union position. Part-time Teller/Greeter

Astera Credit Union is currently seeking qualified applicants for Part-time Teller/Greeter roles in its Lansing-area branches. An Astera Teller/Greeter must deliver high quality service to both internal and external members in alignment with our Service Promises. A key element of this service delivery is to recommend credit union products and services that will improve each member's financial well-being. In addition, provides a variety of teller functions, including accurate processing of transactions. Responsible for providing a high quality of member service, including effective listening, determining members' needs, promotion of credit union services, and problem solving techniques. Also responsible for verifying cash and balancing each day's transactions. Completion of or progress toward a college degree preferred.

This is a part-time, hourly, union position. The pay for this position is $11.17/hour and includes a $1,000 year-end bonus and annual increases. Business Development Officer

Astera Credit Union is seeking a Business Development Officer to provide excellent service to our Preferred Employer Partners and engage the communities we serve to find and cultivate new, mutually beneficial relationships. The chosen candidate will be responsible for prospecting for, developing, and maintaining Astera's Preferred Employer Partners (PEPs) and business account relationships and serving as an Astera CU public relations liaison at community events. They will develop and implement Astera CU product and service presentations and educational sessions for new and existing PEPs, and monitor the marketplace to identify products and services to enhance our existing business services program.


The qualified applicant will possess an associate's degree and have at least three years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience in the financial industry.
